Regional Clinical Services Coordinator

About this role

FHI 360 is recruiting a Regional Clinical Services Coordinator based in Mtwara, Tanzania, to provide technical leadership for the implementation, quality improvement and scale-up of comprehensive HIV and TB services under the EpiC and AFGHS projects. The post-holder strengthens the quality, coverage and integration of HIV and TB services across supported Police and Prisons facilities and public health facilities in the assigned region. Day to day, the coordinator oversees technical implementation across HIV testing services and prevention, care and treatment, advanced HIV disease, PMTCT and early infant diagnosis, TB services, non-communicable disease integration and cervical cancer screening. The role leads clinical mentorship, supportive supervision, clinical audits and continuous quality improvement, using programme data to identify gaps, guide corrective action and document best practices.

The incumbent works closely with regional and district health management teams, facility staff, Police and Prisons counterparts and other stakeholders to strengthen coordination and self-reliance, and coordinates quarterly joint supportive supervision visits, training and continuing medical education sessions for health workers. Candidates must hold a degree in medicine or a related field with relevant national registration, plus at least eight years of experience in HIV and TB clinical services, preferably within public health or donor-funded programmes. Proven experience in clinical mentorship, supportive supervision, quality improvement, programme monitoring and data use is required, along with strong stakeholder engagement skills and fluency in English and Kiswahili. A master's degree in public health is an added advantage, and multi-stakeholder regional programme experience is desirable.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Regional Manager, with 10 to 25 percent domestic travel to councils and health facility sites. The role mentors project staff without formal line management responsibility. FHI 360 offers an annual basic salary of TZS 90,000,000 to 95,000,000.
