Regional Clinical Services Coordinator

FHI 360

About this role

FHI 360 is recruiting a Regional Clinical Services Coordinator to be based in Lindi, Tanzania. The post provides technical leadership and coordination for the implementation, quality improvement and scale-up of comprehensive HIV and TB services under the EpiC and AFGHS-FHI 360 projects, covering supported Police and Prisons facilities and public health facilities in the assigned region. The coordinator oversees HIV testing services and prevention, care and treatment, advanced HIV disease, PMTCT and early infant diagnosis, TB services, non-communicable disease integration and cervical cancer screening, embedding continuous quality improvement at supported sites. The incumbent monitors performance against targets, identifies service delivery gaps and addresses emerging clinical and programmatic challenges.

Day to day, the work involves site start-up support, staff training, clinical mentorship and continuing medical education, patient flow optimisation, adherence improvement and data-driven performance review. The post-holder also coordinates quarterly joint supportive supervision with regional and council health management teams, facilitates TB-HIV integration, and works with district monitoring and evaluation colleagues to assess intervention effectiveness. Coordination with regional and district health authorities, Police and Prisons counterparts and other stakeholders is central to strengthening self-reliance of HIV and TB services. Candidates must hold a degree in medicine or a related field with relevant national registration, plus at least eight years of professional experience in HIV and TB clinical services, preferably within public health or donor-funded programmes.

Demonstrated experience in clinical mentorship, supportive supervision, quality improvement, programme monitoring and data use is required, alongside strong stakeholder engagement and fluency in English and Kiswahili. A master's degree in public health is an added advantage, as is experience in multi-stakeholder regional programme environments. This is a full-time appointment reporting to the Regional Manager, with a mentoring role for project staff but no formal management responsibility, and domestic travel of 10 to 25 percent to councils and health facility sites. The annual basic salary range is TZS 90,000,000 to 95,000,000, alongside a competitive benefits package.
