Health Policy Advocacy & Communications Consultants

PATH

About this role

PATH, a global nonprofit with more than 40 years of experience advancing health equity, is building a roster of consultants and specialist organizations for its Center for Advocacy and Policy. The open call seeks professionals who can provide surge capacity for defined, time-bound assignments that turn evidence into policy adoption and sustainable financing across sub-Saharan Africa, donor capitals, and multilateral forums. Selected consultants may conduct political economy analysis, stakeholder mapping, and influence strategy. They may design advocacy campaigns, including theory of change, power mapping, narrative strategy, and coalition mobilization to secure policy or financing decisions.

Work may involve policy briefs, technical reports, health financing analysis, rapid evidence synthesis, data visualization, and storytelling. They may also support government relations, engagement with ministries of health, finance, and regulators, and advocacy with the African Union, Africa CDC, WHO, the Global Fund, Gavi, and Unitaid. Media strategy may be required. Core requirements include experience in health policy, advocacy, or government engagement in low- and middle-income and multilateral settings, English fluency, client-facing communication and facilitation skills, independent work in multicultural environments, and project management.

Desirables include a degree in public policy, public health, economics, or international development; campaign experience that achieved policy, budget, or public commitment change; digital and earned-media skills; French or Portuguese; experience advising ministries, regulators, or regional bodies; and specialist depth in health financing, global health security, digital health, climate and health, or media. This is a part-time, short-term consultant roster. The location is remote, with priority for candidates based in or able to work across sub-Saharan Africa and donor or multilateral capitals. Start dates are rolling and as needed.

Applicants should submit a CV of no more than three pages or a capability statement, a one-page cover letter naming principal specialisms, and a daily rate in USD. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
