MRV/Feasibility Studies Coordinator

BURN

About this role

BURN Manufacturing is seeking an experienced MRV and Feasibility Studies Coordinator to join their team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role is central to coordinating measurement, reporting, and verification activities across the organisation’s clean cooking and carbon projects in the country. The coordinator will work under the Regional MRV Manager and will be responsible for overseeing field data collection teams, managing feasibility studies, baseline assessments, and kitchen performance tests while ensuring data quality through established protocols and contemporary digital tools. Core responsibilities include supervising field data collection teams across Tanzania, guiding the execution of various studies including feasibility assessments, baseline and project carbon usage studies, and KPT (kitchen performance tests).

The coordinator will implement standard operating procedures and checklists, maintain a strategic project calendar, and optimise resource allocation across multiple high-frequency MRV projects simultaneously. A key aspect of the role involves coaching field teams on budgetary discipline, ensuring localised best practices, and aligning team outputs with organisational strategy. The role-holder will also act as a liaison between the MRV department and broader Burn teams, customising training materials and reviewing enumerator recruitment and mobilisation approaches. Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of field team leadership and management experience in data collection or sales environments, with strong proficiency in data collection platforms such as Kobo and mobile applications, along with solid Microsoft Excel analysis skills.

Essential competencies include team coordination, project coordination, process auditing experience, and strong field monitoring and evaluation abilities. Excellent communication skills are required for liaising with team members, providing training, and ensuring enumerators achieve qualitative and quantitative targets. This is a full-time position based in Dar es Salaam. BURN Manufacturing encourages qualified female candidates to apply and confirms that no fees are charged at any stage of the recruitment process.
