About this Role
UNICEF Tanzania is seeking a national consultant to provide strategic guidance and technical leadership in developing a high-quality, evidence-based Global Fund Cycle 8 HIV/TB funding request for the Ministry of Health, ensuring alignment with national strategic plans and epidemiological priorities. The consultant will coordinate across key areas including strategic prioritization, technical coherence, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and compliance to deliver a successful funding submission. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Healthcare, Public Health, Global Health, or a related social science field and possess at least 10 years of progressive experience in public health programming in low- or middle-income countries. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Global Fund grant policies, procedures, and the grant lifecycle, including direct experience developing successful GC6 or GC7 funding requests, is essential alongside strong technical expertise in at least two of HIV, TB, malaria, or Health Systems Strengthening. UNICEF, the United Nations agency dedicated to promoting the rights and protecting the lives of every child, works across over 190 countries and territories, and this consultancy will be delivered under UNICEF's Health Section. The consultancy runs for 2.8 months under a remote arrangement with periodic travel to Dar-es-Salaam.
