About this Role

IITA is seeking a Digital Tools Officer to support the PROSSIVA project in Tanzania, providing expertise in digital tool development, ICT data handling, and web page management. The role serves as the focal point for the Digital Tools and Scaling Pillar related to the cassava component, working closely with the Seed Tracker ICT platform team to support application scaling and feature enhancement. Key responsibilities include enhancing regulatory partners' capacity to use Seed Tracker for self-certification, collecting data analytics on seed producer usage, and extending the AI variety identification app CropVAR. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with proven experience in digital tool development, web administration, and data analytics, ideally within an agricultural context. Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills are essential for coordinating with stakeholders and delivering progress metrics.
