Jhpiego — An Affiliate of Johns Hopkins University
About this Role
This role supports the RISE (Reaching Impact, Saturation and Epidemic Control) project — a US Department of State-funded malaria prevention initiative — by coordinating ITN distribution systems across Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar in close collaboration with the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) and Zanzibar Malaria Elimination Programme (ZAMEP). Key requirements include a public health or related degree, experience in malaria programming or vector control, and strong coordination skills working with government counterparts and local government structures under PMO-RALG. This position is highly relevant to Tanzania's development sector as malaria remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality, and ITN coverage is a cornerstone of the national elimination strategy. Key responsibilities include coordinating ITN systems implementation, monitoring and evaluation of distribution activities, supporting alignment with national malaria strategies, and improving health system performance at subnational level. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field coordination experience in malaria or health systems programming in Tanzania, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work within government systems. This is a full-time, national, on-site contract tied to the RISE project, which runs through December 2027.
