Business Analyst – Enterprise Technology & Performance

Deloitte East Africa is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Technology & Transformation Business Unit, specifically the Enterprise Technology & Performance practice within Technology, Strategy & Transformation. Based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, this role supports the consulting team in introducing, developing, implementing, optimising, and maintaining technology solutions for clients across the region. The successful candidate will engage directly with clients, designing customised solution approaches for architecture, processes, deployment, and products while defining technical architecture and overseeing implementation. Depending on experience level, the individual will quickly assume team or project responsibility and will work closely alongside architects, development teams, and client stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle.

The role requires fluency in Agile principles and the ability to deliver solutions collaboratively within multifaceted teams. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and demonstrate hands-on programming ability in Python or comparable languages such as C#, Java, or C/C++. Proficiency in writing and running SQL scripts is required, along with knowledge of Command Line Interface environments in Linux, MacOS, or Unix systems. Infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly with Terraform, is an added advantage.

Preferred qualifications include familiarity with distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, data modelling and processing expertise, cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure), and AWS certifications such as Developer or Solutions Architect credentials. Strong English communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, adaptability, problem-solving capability, and a commitment to quality and risk management are essential behavioural attributes.
