Bankable Nature Solutions Analyst

WWF Tanzania is seeking a Bankable Nature Solutions Analyst to support the implementation of the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD) and WWF Nectar Fund across Africa, with a primary focus on Tanzania. In this role, you will identify and engage with high-impact businesses and investors operating in climate adaptation and mitigation sectors, including agriculture, forestry, water and waste management, and environmental protection, whilst delivering measurable benefits for both nature and local communities. You will contribute to the full investment cycle, from pipeline development and stakeholder engagement through to assessment, due diligence, and ongoing portfolio support. Responsibilities include building relationships with financial institutions and enterprise partners, coordinating project planning and implementation, monitoring and reporting on results, and supporting communications and events that raise the profile of DFCD and Nectar Fund in Tanzania.

You will provide regular high-quality operational updates to national, regional, and global WWF teams and work collaboratively with WWF Tanzania landscape leads and the Senior Management Team to align activities with broader organisational strategies. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor\'s degree in commerce, business, finance, or a related discipline, with a minimum of two years of professional experience engaging with private sector actors or financial institutions and investors. You will bring a strong understanding of impact investment, grant and technical assistance mechanisms, and blended finance structures, ideally within the environmental or climate space, and ideally you will have an established professional network in Tanzania and East Africa. A background or demonstrated interest in climate, nature, and development is essential, alongside exceptional digital literacy including proficiency with AI tools and customer relationship databases.

Bilingual communication and negotiation skills in both English and Kiswahili are required. The position is a full-time appointment based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with access to regional Africa and global team support, and some travel within Tanzania and the wider region may be expected.
