About this Role
This local position supports financial and administrative management of IUCN Tanzania Country Programme including the EU-funded Bahari Yetu coastal and marine biodiversity project covering Mtwara, Coastal, Dar es Salaam regions and Zanzibar. Candidates must hold a first degree in Accounting or Finance plus a professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA, with at least five years NGO or international organisation finance experience. The role is critical to maintaining fiduciary integrity for a 110 million EUR EU Blue Economy programme focused on climate-resilient coastal conservation in Tanzania. Responsibilities include accounting, financial reporting, payroll, procurement oversight, asset management, and ensuring compliance with Tanzanian tax law and IUCN donor rules. Finance professionals with NGO development sector experience and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP are strongly encouraged. Fixed-term contract of up to 24 months, locally contracted.
