About this Role
IITA is seeking an IT Support Assistant to provide comprehensive software and hardware support for the institute's computer systems in Dar es Salaam. The role involves maintaining WLAN networks, managing IT equipment, monitoring backup jobs, and troubleshooting systems to ensure a stable and secure network environment. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with at least one to three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, customer-service orientation, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining proactive attitudes. This on-site position requires liaising with IT staff across IITA's East and Southern Africa regional sites and providing support during meetings, workshops, and virtual sessions.
