Tanzania Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Lead (Fixed-Term)
One Acre Fund
About this Role
The GYSI Lead will be responsible for incorporating gender-responsive, youth-inclusive, and socially inclusive approaches into One Acre Fund Tanzania's agricultural program, ensuring that women, youth, and marginalized groups are meaningfully served across the Iringa, Njombe, Mbeya, and Songwe regions. Candidates require a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Social Science or a related field, 5+ years of experience in gender or inclusion programming, fluency in both Swahili and English, and strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. This role is strategically important for expanding reach and equity in Tanzania's smallholder farming sector, where gender and youth gaps in agricultural access represent a key barrier to impact. Responsibilities include designing women-friendly products, leading youth strategies, coordinating with field teams, conducting inclusion assessments, and reporting on GYSI integration across program components. Professionals with experience in gender mainstreaming in agricultural development or livelihoods programs in East Africa are the target applicants. Fixed-term contract.
