Inclusive Investment Senior Manager
TechnoServe
About this Role
The Inclusive Investment Senior Manager leads market-building initiatives to double agricultural financing in Tanzania, mobilizing capital for agribusinesses and smallholder farmers through partnerships with financial institutions and impact investors. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience (or Master's plus 7 years) in consulting, impact investing, agribusiness, or agricultural development, with data analysis and Excel modeling proficiency; Swahili is preferred and prior East African agri-finance experience is highly valued. This role is critical to Tanzania's agricultural development agenda, where access to finance for smallholder farmers remains a key constraint to productivity, food security, and rural income growth. Core responsibilities include overseeing technical assistance delivery to investors and agribusinesses, designing innovative finance models, managing specialist teams and consultants, and generating knowledge products at regional events. The ideal candidate has a strategy consulting or impact investing background with a proven track record in East African markets and the ability to bridge development finance with private sector engagement. Position involves up to 25% travel; open to both international and Tanzania-based applicants.
