Sponsorship Programme Facilitator
About this role
World Vision seeks a Sponsorship Programme Facilitator to support the implementation and management of child sponsorship activities within an Area Development Programme context. The role is responsible for coordinating planned activities across multiple thematic areas including livelihood development, resilience programming, community engagement, and child protection. Core implementation duties involve facilitating stakeholder engagements during planning meetings, workshops and seminars while building the capacity of local partners and community-based organizations. The facilitator will mobilize communities for economic opportunity programmes, support school feeding initiatives and teacher training on measuring evidence of quality achievement, and facilitate the development of local value chains for targeted crops such as cashew nuts. The position requires managing sponsorship performance by supporting the monitoring of registered children, facilitating correspondence between sponsored children and their sponsors, and ensuring timely responses to support office queries and gift notifications. Community engagement responsibilities include sensitizing families on sponsorship philosophy, organizing producer groups and savings for transformation groups, and mobilizing children and communities to participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives. The role also involves child protection monitoring, wellbeing assessment and reporting in accordance with organizational policy, and fostering networking relationships with government agencies, faith-based organizations and non-governmental partners at the local level. Candidates must hold a Bachelor degree in Social Science, Community Development, Education or Animal Science from an accredited institution with three to five years of programming experience. Preferred candidates demonstrate extensive experience in community mobilization across multiple sectors, possess high integrity, strong report writing skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Computer literacy, effective stakeholder engagement abilities and valid motorcycle riding certification are required.
