FHI 360 is recruiting a Senior Regional Technical Officer for Clinical Services to be based in Njombe, Tanzania. The position sits within the EpiC and AFGHS projects and provides technical leadership and clinical oversight for comprehensive HIV and TB services delivered across supported Police and Prisons and public health facilities in the assigned region. The post-holder strengthens the quality, coverage, integration and effectiveness of HIV and TB services along the full care continuum. Day-to-day work includes providing clinical mentorship, supportive supervision and continuous medical education to health care workers and project staff, coordinating technical assistance to health facilities, and supporting HIV testing, antiretroviral therapy, retention, viral suppression, advanced HIV disease management, TB prevention and treatment, and TB/HIV integration.

The officer also guides integration of non-communicable disease screening, works with monitoring and evaluation colleagues to use routine data for quality improvement, contributes technical input to national guidelines, and builds district capacity for sustainability. Close collaboration with regional and council health management teams and facility in-charges is essential. Candidates must hold a degree in medicine or a related field with relevant national registration, and have at least six years of professional experience in HIV and TB clinical services, preferably in donor-funded programmes. Proven experience in clinical mentorship, supportive supervision, quality improvement, programme monitoring and data use is required, along with fluency in English and Kiswahili.

A master's degree in public health is an added advantage, as is experience with the Ministry of Health, council health teams, healthcare facilities and implementing partners. The position is full time, reports operationally to the Regional Manager and technically to the Central and Regional Clinical Coordinators, and involves domestic travel of 10 to 25 percent to councils and health facility sites. FHI 360 offers a competitive package with an annual basic salary of TZS 68,000,000 to 90,000,000. Applications close on 14 October 2026.
