The officer also reinforces referral and linkage systems across the continuum of care, monitors key PMTCT and CECAP indicators, mentors regional technical teams and health workers through supportive supervision and on-the-job training, and prepares technical reports, analytical briefs, and lessons learned for government, donor, and stakeholder audiences. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine or Nursing degree, or another health-related qualification, with current professional registration where applicable, and have at least four years of progressive experience in PMTCT, pediatric HIV, maternal and child health, or HIV prevention, care, and treatment, preferably in donor-funded programmes.
A master's degree in public health is an added advantage. Fluency in English and Kiswahili, strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. The position is full time and reports to the Regional Senior Technical Officer for Care and Treatment Services, with 10 to 25 percent domestic travel to councils and health facility sites.
