About this role

The Project Officer will support the Project Coordinator and Zonal Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in project planning, implementation, monitoring, research, and learning initiatives for Plan International. This position engages with a broad range of stakeholders, including CHMT, the District Community Development Department, the Social Welfare Department, and the District Education Department across Primary and Secondary Schools and School Quality Assurers in project intervention areas. The Project Officer will document transformational change stories by engaging directly with Project Agents and will assist in regular project progress updates and correspondence with implementing partners. Core responsibilities include assisting in the coordination and preparation of project-related trainings, meetings, and workshops, managing administrative workflows including follow-up on correspondences from various stakeholders, compiling partners' monthly and quarterly workplans for management meetings, and collecting and sharing case studies, success stories, best practices, photos, and broader learnings across the project team. The role also covers monitoring and supportive supervision activities to ensure cost-effectiveness, representing the project team in district government and stakeholder meetings, and supporting project administrative work such as meeting preparation, procurement purchase requisitions, and field workplan management. Required qualifications include a Bachelor degree in Project Management, Public Health, Education, Sociology, Community Development, or Demography, combined with at least three years of experience managing programmes within an international or national NGO setting. Strong proficiency in result-based management, log frame, theory of change, and monitoring tools is essential. Desirable additions include knowledge across Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Protection, Youth Economic Empowerment, and cross-cutting themes such as Climate Change and Gender and Inclusion.
