About this role

UNFPA's Tanzania Country Office is hiring a National Officer (NOA) Programme Analyst for Digitalisation, Innovation and Knowledge Management in Dar es Salaam. Reporting to the Deputy Representative, with indirect reporting to the International Operations Manager on ICT functions, the post-holder will work with the programme team to integrate digital solutions and emerging technologies and to lead knowledge management. Core duties are to support the Country Office digitalisation strategy, recommend technologies such as mobile health platforms, AI and IoT, promote human-centred design and agile working, and help define KPIs and monitor innovation projects. The analyst also builds capacity among staff and partners, develops partnerships with private sector, innovation hubs and UN agencies, contributes to resource mobilisation and donor reporting, documents lessons learned, prepares advocacy materials, and oversees ICT systems and databases.

An advanced university degree in information technology, computer science, data science, innovation management, business administration, development studies, public health, sociology, economics, international relations, public administration or a related field is required. The post is open to early-career professionals with zero to two years of digital transformation, innovation or programme management experience, ideally in public, non-governmental or development settings. Demonstrated work on digital solutions for social impact, experience with human-centred design or agile methods, familiarity with Tanzania, strong report-writing skills and fluency in English are expected; Kiswahili or another UN language is an asset. UNFPA is the UN sexual and reproductive health agency, and its Tanzania programme focuses on ending preventable maternal deaths, unmet need for family planning, and gender-based violence and harmful practices.
