DPG Secretariat Coordinator
About this role
The UN Resident Coordinator's Office (UNRCO) in Tanzania seeks a consultant to coordinate preparations for, and provide secretariat support to, the Technical-Level and High-Level Structured Dialogues between the Development Partners Group (DPG) and the Government of Tanzania. The DPG is the principal coordination mechanism for Development Partners' engagement with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The consultant will coordinate monthly DPG Main meetings, facilitate strategic alignment between DPG Working Groups, Heads of Missions, and Government counterparts including the Ministry of Finance and the National Planning Commission, consolidate technical inputs, draft outcome reports, develop strategic briefs and analytical notes, and manage structured agendas and action trackers. The role requires a Master's degree in social sciences, economics, international development, or a related field, at least five years of experience in development management and coordination, prior experience working with donors and government counterparts, and familiarity with government planning institutions. The consultancy is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, runs for seven months at three working days per week, and reports to the UN Resident Coordinator as DPG permanent co-chair.
