CCBRT is Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services, operating as a healthcare social enterprise in Dar es Salaam. The organisation runs the CCBRT Medical Training College alongside its clinical service delivery, and its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high-risk and emergency deliveries across Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania. CCBRT is seeking a Deputy Principal to establish, manage, and maintain high academic standards at its Medical Training College, overseeing curriculum development, academic coordination, quality assurance and faculty supervision to ensure excellence in teaching, learning and research. The Deputy Principal will ensure implementation of academic programmes in line with national and international standards, support the accreditation process with relevant regulatory bodies, and participate in the design and expansion of future health-related programmes.

Teaching and learning management responsibilities include coordinating teaching schedules, course allocation and academic calendars, ensuring effective delivery of lectures, clinical training and practical sessions, and promoting innovative teaching methods including simulation and clinical exposure. The role also encompasses quality assurance and compliance monitoring, development of internal quality assurance systems, and oversight of examinations, assessments and grading processes. Faculty support and development duties cover recruitment, onboarding, mentoring and performance evaluations, as well as organising continuous professional development for lecturers. The Deputy Principal will monitor student progress and academic performance, address academic concerns, appeals and disciplinary issues, and establish partnerships with hospitals and other teaching institutions for student clinical placements.

Research and innovation responsibilities include encouraging research activities among staff and students and supporting the development of research policies and publications. The position is full time, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. org by 12 July 2026, quoting reference 2026-19.
