Coordinator, Insecticide Treated Net (ITN) Systems

Jhpiego

About this role

Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate, is recruiting a Coordinator for Insecticide Treated Net (ITN) Systems based in Dar es Salaam on a full-time local contract. The post sits within the AFGHS project, funded by the U.S. Department of State to support maternal, newborn and child health and malaria services across Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar in partnership with national and regional government health structures. The coordinator leads planning, coordination, implementation and performance management of end-to-end ITN programming under the malaria component, ensuring nets are accurately quantified, delivered, equitably distributed, safely managed and fully accounted for.

Day to day this involves overseeing quantification, forecasting and microplanning with government counterparts, coordinating supply chain movement from regional receipt through last-mile distribution, liaising with the GHSC-PSM procurement partner, and managing warehousing, inventory control, stock reconciliation and reporting. The role also oversees distribution through campaign and school platforms, monitors milestones and payment-linked deliverables, resolves bottlenecks, and strengthens use of ITN data for coverage and stock monitoring. A central responsibility is advancing sustainability by institutionalising quantification, logistics, distribution planning and accountability within government systems. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in public health, supply chain management, logistics, environmental health or a related field, with at least six to seven years of progressive experience in large-scale health commodity procurement and distribution; prior ITN programming experience is a strong advantage.

Required skills include managing complex multi-region supply chains within government systems, reconciliation and verification work, advanced data analysis, and familiarity with U.S. Government procurement, compliance and reporting requirements. Preferred attributes include stakeholder relationship skills, facilitation and written communication in English, and fluency in Kiswahili, and the position requires travel of up to 25 to 30 percent to project-supported geographies. Jhpiego offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits.

Applications go through www.jhpiego.org/careers as a single document with cover letter, resume and references; the posting closes on October 19, 2026.
