About this Role
Plan International is seeking a Zonal Senior Accountant to provide consistent internal controls, reliable financial information, and ensure donor compliance across budgeting, implementation, and reporting for the Zonal Area. The role manages budget management, financial reporting, partnership management, internal controls, corporate systems, audits, cost recovery, balance sheet, and treasury across the zone with two direct subordinates. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting with CPA or ACCA certification, demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nonprofit finance, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. Working within Plan International's mission to advance children's rights and equality for girls, the position requires a results-oriented professional who can work independently, respect cultural diversity, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. This fixed-term position is based in Katavi, Tanzania, reporting to the Head of Finance and IT with a dotted line to the Program Implementation Area Manager.
