About this role
BURN Manufacturing, a leading clean cooking enterprise headquartered in Nairobi with operations across Sub-Saharan Africa, is seeking an Assistant MRV Feasibility Studies Coordinator to support the delivery of monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) activities across the company's project portfolio. The coordinator will assist in managing people and processes to ensure that feasibility studies and related MRV projects are executed on schedule and meet the highest quality standards. Core responsibilities include collaborating with the MRV Manager, MRV/Feasibility Studies Coordinator, and country managers to design surveys that reflect the unique fuel and stove culture and usage monitoring methodologies applicable to each country context. The role involves supporting the development of country-customized training materials for feasibility study enumerators, drawing from master training documentation.
The coordinator will recruit, train, and supervise field enumerators and team leaders capable of conducting household-level feasibility studies across multiple locations, while also initiating and tracking budget and resource mobilisation to enable efficient and timely study execution. Additional duties encompass developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and checklists for quality assurance, conducting continuous process reviews and audits both quantitatively and qualitatively, ensuring all data and documentation comply with established SOPs and methodologies, and liaising regularly with colleagues across the data and analytics, call centre, and commercial departments. The role requires producing comprehensive monthly reports on issue Pareto distributions, including root causes, trends, and proposed solutions. Candidates must possess strong technical abilities for audit-like work in data-heavy environments, including proficiency with data collection tools such as Kobo and basic analysis in Microsoft Excel.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in field team leadership and management within data collection, sales, or related fields, with demonstrated competencies in team coordination, project coordination, and process auditing. Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with field teams, providing training to colleagues, and ensuring enumerators and team leaders meet qualitative and quantitative targets.
