Supply of Mapping Drone for the National Environmental Management Council
International Union for Conservation of Nature
About this Role
IUCN is seeking a supplier to provide one unit of mapping drone for the National Environmental Management Council under the Bahari Yetu (Pamoja Tuhifadhi Bahari Yetu) Project, a four-year initiative running from 2024 to 2028 across mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. The drone will strengthen NEMC's capacity to conduct mapping and inspections of marine and estuarine ecosystems, delivering real-time data to track plastic pollution trends and enhance environmental monitoring capabilities. This equipment forms part of Work Package 3 of the project, which aims to improve enforcement of policies and regulations governing marine plastic litter. The resulting data will inform evidence-based policy development, support enforcement strategies, and help guide targeted interventions to reduce plastic waste in Tanzania's coastal and marine environments. Proposals are invited from qualified suppliers, with submissions due by 17 May 2026.
