About this Role
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) seeks an IT Support Assistant to provide technical assistance across its computer systems, network infrastructure, and end-user services. The role encompasses hardware and software support, WLAN and network management (including satellite, fibre, and radio links), backup monitoring, security configuration, CCTV installation, and IT inventory maintenance across IITA sites in East and Southern Africa. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with one to three years of relevant experience. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure in a service-oriented environment.
